Privacy policy
Ourmio is a small app for coordinating one household: bills, appointments, chores, groceries and subscriptions. This page says plainly what it stores, where, who can see it, and how to remove it.
What we store
- Your account: the email address and display name from the sign-in method you chose (Apple or Google), if you save your account, and an internal user ID.
- Your household's data: everything a member types into the app — household name, member names and roles, bills and amounts, appointments, tasks, grocery lists, subscriptions, and the record of who completed or paid what.
- Device tokens for push notifications, if you turn reminders on. They identify your device to the notification service, not you.
- Preferences such as date format, week start, appearance and which notifications you want.
- Crash reports (through Firebase Crashlytics): if the app crashes, a report with the device model, OS version, app version and the technical trace is sent so the crash can be fixed. It does not include your household data.
Where it lives
Data is stored in Google Cloud (Firebase) in the European Union region eur3. It travels encrypted between your phone and the servers.
Who can see it
- Your household, by role. Owners and adults see everything in the household. Children see appointments, tasks and groceries — never bills, subscriptions or amounts.
- Nobody else. There are no ads, no analytics trackers, no selling or sharing of data. Only the app's developer can access the underlying database, and only to operate the service or fix a problem you report.
Notifications
Reminders and "who paid what" pushes are sent through Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging. You can turn each kind off in Preferences, or remove the permission in your phone's Settings.
Deleting your data
In the app: More → Delete account. This removes your account, your sign-in, your device tokens and your preferences. If you are the only person in a household, the whole household and everything in it is deleted too. If others are in it, you leave it and their data stays with them. If you are the last owner of a household that still has other members, make someone else an owner first.
Leaving a household you share keeps the items you created, because they belong to the household, not to you.
Children
A child member can only join a household through an invite code created by an owner, and the app never shows children any financial information. The app is not directed at children outside a family household.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it and the new text is shown in the app. Questions: mooumari@gmail.com.
